It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Mr. Abdullah Ammar Al-Saudi, Chairman of the Board, who departed this life on the morning of Tuesday, 30 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1447 AH, corresponding to 23 September 2025, after a long struggle with illness.

The late Mr. Al-Saudi was a distinguished figure in the Libyan, Arab, and international banking sectors. He played a pivotal role in the establishment and management of several leading financial institutions, beginning with the Libyan Foreign Bank, followed by the Arab Banking Corporation in Bahrain, and later the United Bank for Commerce and Investment. He was widely known for his genuine patriotism, integrity, and dedication throughout his professional journey.

We pray to Almighty ALLAH to shower the deceased with His infinite mercy, grant him eternal rest in His spacious paradise, and bestow patience and solace upon his family, loved ones, and colleagues.

Indeed, to ALLAH we belong, and to Him we shall return
