Mr. Abdullah Ammar Al-Saudi is the President of The United Bank for
Commerce and Investments in Tripoli, Libya, the Executive Chairman of the Consulting Office "Abdullah Al-Saudi and Associates" LLC in Bahrain. Mr. Abullah is a member of the Board of Directors of the Lebanese Credit Bank, Beirut. He is also the founder of the Arab Banking Corporation (BSC) in Bahrain, and served as its CEO from 1980 until 1994. He also established the Arab Financial Services Company (exempt) and the Arab Islamic Banking Corporation Bank in Bahrain. Dr. Al-Saudi also established the Arab Libyan Foreign Bank, Tripoli, where he served as CEO from 1972-1980. Mr. Abdullah worked in the Central Bank of Libya for 14 years, during which he held various positions. Mr. Abdullah Al-Saudi is a prominent and respected banker at the international level, with more than five decades of experience in this field. He was honored with many international medals during his career, most notably his being awarded the title of "Most Innovative Banking Personality" in 1980 at an honoring ceremony at Georgetown University in Washington, the "Best Banking Personality" award in 1990 from the Arab American Banking Association, and the "Arab Banking Personality" award in 1993 from the Union of Arab Banks, in addition to many insignias and golden medals, the most prominent of which are a medal from the King of Spain, the golden medal from the Italian President in 1977, and the Grand Medal from the President of the Republic of Tunisia in 1993. He was also awarded the Arab Integrity Award from the Arab Union for Combating Forgery - affiliated to the Arab League in 2012, and in November 2018 he was granted the Arab Banking Personality Award from the Union of Arab Banks in Beirut.
